Artist's Description
I spent last weekend exploring the Apache Trail along the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix.
On the way back home I once again found myself at the Goldfield Ghost Town...an old gold mining camp.
I found this impressive old truck...having served its time...sitting in the broiling afternoon sun.
About Jephyr Art
I've always been interested in art but had done little more than sketch all my life...and even then I drew mostly just cartoony, line drawings. A few years ago, I decided to take a number of computer art courses at a nearby community college. I met an artist in one of those classes who became a friend and he encouraged me to look into Fine Art classes at the same school. It turns out they have a great Fine Art program teaching traditional techniques of color theory, design, drawing, life drawing/anatomy, oil painting, photography and more. I've learned so much (knowing I still have a LOT to learn) and after having nearly completed a Fine Art and Digital Illustration degree I now have a little more confidence to begin to present...

I loove vintage rusty old cars and trucks, great capture! FV
Jephyr Art replied:
Me too Christy! When I was a teenager in CO we'd hike way up into the mountains on old game trails along streams etc...and then stumble on old cars and trucks (1920's to the 50's) in places you'd never expect that a vehicle had EVER been. I STILL wonder how they got there! Wish I'd had a good digital camera back then!!! ; ) Thank you for your support, comment and FV!
